Elder Law Mediation and Shared Family Decision Making - Registration Fee $495

As our population ages, mediators who specialize in Elder Mediation and Shared Family Decision Making will be more and more in demand. Are you ready to be one of the select mediators in Florida trained in this discipline?  This comprehensive course covers a wide variety of issues related to family dynamics and the legal and financial issues Elder Mediators encounter.  We will discuss the landscape of elder law, elder affairs, care-giving, care management, elder services, family dynamics, and mediation marketing so that you are best prepared to launch or expand your Elder Law Mediation and Shared Family Decision-Making practice.


Elder Mediation helps seniors and their adult children resolve conflicts regarding:


  • Care-giving

  • Living Arrangements

  • Financial planning

  • Medical decisions

  • Communication

  • Driving

  • Guardianship

  • Issues of Independence

  • Short vs Long Term Care Concerns

  • Issues of Grief and Loss

This program provides:

  • 16 hours of CME, including four hour of Mediator Ethics, one hour of Diversity, two hours of Interpersonal Violence, and nine general hours.

  • 16 hours of CEUs for Mental Health Professionals, and

  • 16 CLEs for Florida Attorneys, including one hour of Ethics, a half-hour of Bias Elimination as well as 16 Certification Credits for Elder Law (application pending).

This program meets 9:30am to 1:30pm each day.
